I really can't say enough nice things about X-ray/ Medical Imaging. It is what both Jeff and I do. It is how I met my hubby and it pays the bills, provides for the kids, and allows us to take nice vacations each year. You can work any shift, various hours, you can work in a hospital or clinic and there are several different modalities that you can branch off into. > CatScan, MRI, Ultrasound, Special Procedures, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, and even Radiation Therapy.

V is for Vermont

Vermont is another place that I have found that I could live. If I could not live out West, I think Vermont would be my next choice. It is Beautiful. I have a love for Red Barns and there are no shortage of barns in Vermont.

Burlington, Vermont - a college town that reminded me of Indiana University - but with a waterfront.

Stowe, Vermont - In my opinion, the prettiest part of Vermont

I had never heard of Dakin Farm until one of my friends started sending me their bacon and syrup and pancake mixes. I Love the stuff! Was so excited to actually get to visit.

Not only does Vermont have good syrup, but the Cheese is awesome too.

And don't forget Ben and Jerry's!

Happy Monday Everybody! Hope everyone had a great Easter and was able to spend some quality time with their loved ones! I had to work all day Sunday but we were able to spend all day Saturday together. I guess I am lucky that I have early risers because I had to get up really early for work and right before my alarm clock went off I heard my 3 year old screaming with excitement because the Easter Bunny had come. This was 5am! She was so excited that she could not get her pants down in time to pee in the toilet... So when I open our bedroom door and look to see what is going on I see her naked butt running down the hallway with her Easter basket in one hand and her pee soaked PJ bottoms in the other :)

T is for Telluride

Telluride, Colorado. My favorite place in the World to visit in the Summer. Pictures and words cannot describe it. The mountains are gorgeous and at night the stars seem so close you swear you could touch them.

If it wasn't so expensive to live here, this is where I would be.

S is for Speedway

I grew up on the west side of Indianapolis in a town called Speedway. I can't say enough nice things about the town. Looking back, it was the perfect place to live and to have a family.

Speedway has 2 really nice parks - Meadowood and Leonard. I always loved Meadowood because there were so many more trees and also because of this Pumpkin Carriage. I spent so much time as a kid playing in this thing! Loved it!

During the month of May, there is no place in this world I would rather be.

Sadly, I don't get to go every year - work and family obligations have taken over, but for 37 years I never missed a race! It will always be the Greatest Spectacle in Racing.

Union Jacks - One of my Speedway Favorites! How I miss the deep dish Spinach and Mushroom Pizza!

Charlie Browns - Another Speedway place that I really miss! The Best Breakfast!

There are so many great things about this town. The community is strong, the schools are top-notch, people take pride in their homes and you are only minutes away from Downtown Indy and the airport. No matter where I live - Speedway will always be home to me.

First of all - sorry for being such a slacker this week! I almost forgot what my computer looked like! As I said earlier in the week I have been crazy busy this week! Between the new job, 2 girls starting soccer, The Easter Bunny, Dentist and Doctor appointments, and the crazy weather that we have been having - ohh and lets not forget that I am a cleaning freak, plus the laundry was out of control!!! I have not had time to even breathe!

So enough complaining... I have some blogging to do - time to catch up!

R is for Rain

Rain! I know by the end of Summer I will be talking about how bad we need rain. But right now I am sick of it! It has rained out 2 soccer practices and all of the games for Saturday. We had a really bad storm this week that knocked out our power for 18 hours. The storm caused a huge tree limb to fall in our yard which required the purchase of a new chain saw. The rain stopped only for a short time so about half the limp is removed and we only got 1 of the 3 acres mowed that we usually do. It is currently raining and I have no idea when it will stop. Flooding tends to be a big problem in Southern Indiana. Did I mention that we are trying to potty train a new puppy - not fun in the pouring rain!

I have to admit that I do love Quiznos. Specifically, the Sonoma Turkey Sandwich. It is awesome! Sadly, the store in our town closed, not sure why ... the food was always great.

Panzer is our new Puppy. He is a German Shepherd and is only 10wks old! I actually think we should have named him Clifford ( The Big Red Dog) because Panzer is getting huge! Another good name would have been Bear. He looks like a black bear in the face. Anyway, we LOVE our new Puppy!
