5 Questions Friday - 2/25/11

TGIF - Blogger Friends!

Well we have spent a week here in the hospital and We are both so ready to get out of here and be home- but the Doctors say it will probably be a few more days. I feel so bad for Jeff, he has had nothing to eat or drink since Monday!!! I am sure I have gained the weight he has lost because when I am nervous or worried I Eat!

Being forced to sit still and confined to a hospital room I have been
able to read a lot of really good blogs and have started following some new ones that really rock!

My 2 new favorites are- It's ALL Good in Mommyhood, and Mom-A-Logues,

1. Can you drive a stick shift?

2. What are two foods you just can't eat?

3. Do you buy Girl Scout Cookies? What is your favorite kind?

4.
How do you pamper yourself?

5. What is your nickname and how did you get it?

1. No I can not drive a stick. I have tried several times and it is a mess. I am what you call coordination challenged. I literally can not walk and take a drink... seriously, I have to come to a complete stop, take a drink, and then start walking again.

The closest thing to driving a stick for me happened
several years ago when Jeff and I were at the Talladega Nascar Race. Jeff tore his rotator cuff in his shoulder (the same shoulder that is attached to the hand that does all of the shifting) We were in his big diesel truck and I had to take over the shifting part from the passenger seat for the drive back to Indiana. It was some pretty ugly shifting on my part!

2. Hmm, it use to be brussel sprouts, but I made myself try them not too long ago and they were pretty good. Sardines! No way would I eat one. Jeff doesn't get that because I love sushi. They just look nasty. I also will not eat lamb. I have tried it a few times only because of
my love for Ireland and all things Irish - Just don't like the taste!

3. Yes, If a friend of mine is selling I will usually always bu
y 2 boxes. I will always get a box of thin mints for Jeff, and then I like the peanut butter ones.

4. Pamper myself? I could really use some pampering right now !!! My favorite way to pamper myself is to take a day and leave the girls with Jeff and go shopping and then get a manicure and pedicure. I love those days! I usually try to do that about 4 times a year and it always puts me back in my happy place :)

5. My nickname has always been T , I have no idea who started it, but I have had it since grade school. I think it started when I started playing basketball in 4th grade. In high school I had a math teacher who called me T squared, I am glad that did not stick!

Happy Weekend Friends and Thank You for your continued Prayers for Jeff!
